My Pets and Me

This blog started off as a comment and became too long and so was promoted to a blog. And this is the blog that inspired me :)


Past
- had a dog Benji when I was in school . He was a silky terrier. A cute little pup. I used to play with him cuddle him , teach him tricks and do everything that didn't come under the term 'dirty work'... together or seperate....Amma did that.....One Sunday when the whole family was back after a little outing  we found we lost Benji......Lost and not to be found.......
- Then I had cats..though they couldn't fill the gap benji left...loved them too...a dozen of them in my backyard....they visit me only for dinner though....Tom cats, pregnant cats, soon to be pregnant cats and lots of kittens in all sizes....I was breeding cats...We would have the cat choir every night....and then I got married...Amma fed them for a few months .when she ignored them they would steal.....then she found ways to send them away ...marry them off :D

Present
- Then I had one cat I called my pet...its been 14yrs and she's still with me but with Achu's entry...life has changed for me and my cat :)

Future
-  A few more years and Achu might just want a pet for himself....and as the circle of life should go on....I might land up with the dirty-work...together or seperate
- So long as its not a spider,lizard,snake or a scorpion or anything creepy or crawly......:b

    I am not so sure about cats, but I love dogs. Had two of them but had to send them to mom's when the brat was born because they didn't take well to being ousted from their role as our babies :(

I am Happy today...

because.... Acha had his follow up with his doctor today and things are FINE. Yipeeeeeeee! He is doing good. A Big Relief. Yesterday I had a wonderful evening with friends ( U, S and B) at U's Golu. Achu also had a gala time with N and M. On the work front deadlines have no meaning since we are done with all the files that needed attention. Have to get the office ready for Pooja. Its exciting to plan and execute something otherthan work, at office. God is watching over me :) Ps. Like I said today is beautiful...I am relishing each moment ...I am grateful to alot of family and friends...for there is nothing more peaceful than having a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean :)

The New Year

This is my first new year without my Acha. It doesn't feel very good. When you don't have that somebody who has been with you all your life It doesn't feel good at all I know I have to move ahead Try to get his dreams come true I know this year is going to be tuff but I count on a set of people who I know will be with me Above all Acha is still with me in a more powerful role With his principles embossed in my heart I move forward Cautiously but Courageously..... Ps.Thank God for all the support my mom and I are getting for the past weeks.....The support has given us strength we barely knew we had.

Loneliness

Suddenly I feel all alone A shoulder I seek beside Though amidst a crowd Why do I feel deprived With uncertainties around me I seek just one defined One I can fall back on When the world acts blind Wonder which worldly tie is the most strongest and true For I have felt all the bonding But sadly confident of none So a materialistic life camouflaged with fake smiles and superficiality around This lone soul lives on............
